Pickled coils are then rolled to the final size by one of the three reversing four-high stands. However cold forming changes the mechanical properties of the hot rolled base material. Further technological formability of metal decreases by such a degree, which hinders processing and usage, therefore heat treatment (annealing) is needed to be applied to restate the original properties.  Annealing takes place on 75 single column bell furnace positions. Applied protective gas is HNX protective gas containing 5% hydrogen and 95% nitrogen. The bell-type annealing furnace is heated up to the temperature of 620-700°C depending on the quality to be produced, and the coil is slowly cooled down after maintaining the temperature for 12-20 hours. The charge is depiled when the temperature of 80-90°C is reached.  Following recrystallization annealing the steel becomes non-rigid, the consequences of cold forming disappear, mechanical properties reach the values before cold forming.

The next operation is skin-pass rolling. The aim of the 1700 mm wide four-high skin-pass rolling mill is to form cold rolled, annealed wide strips by 0.5-2.0%. The aim of skin-pass rolling is to terminate the phase of flowing appearing in the tensile test diagram, to avoid flow lines generated during processing, to set good mechanical properties, to produce bright or flat strip finish depending on the demands, furthermore to provide strip with good flatness.

The Cold Rolling Mill produces cold rolled, as well as hot rolled and pickled wide and slit strip or sheet. During finishing the coils are processed meeting the customer's demands. During the cutting operation the coil is cut to sheets of proper length. Thickness that can be produced on the 1550 mm cutting line: 0.40-2.50 mm; width that can be cut: 555-1540 mm; length that can be cut: 500-3200 mm. Strips of various types are slit to the size requested by customer, strip masses are specified, narrow and wide strips, vertical and horizontal strips are produced. Thickness that can be slit: 0.40 - 4.00 mm, and width: 19-1540 mm. Stretch-levelling line is used for the levelling of coils of size 0.40-1.25 x 500-1520 mm by stretching and bending, as well as it ensures edging and oiling of the material. The equipment improves the flatness characteristics of sheet.

During finishing final classification of the finished product takes place, it may be surface protected and then it is packed.

Produced finished product is transferred to the warehouse and delivery workshop, from where it is finally delivered to the customer.
