Aims referring to the Operations Policy Declaration
Knowing the operations policy, general and measurable aims were drawn
up that collectively confirm the effective operation and development
of the quality management system.

The examination of aims and their realization are documented in
the reports prepared for the special committee sessions and related
reminders, decisions prepared for the quality council meetings.
GENERAL AIMS IN THE FIELD OF QUALITY MANAGEMENT
To gain and keep the satisfaction of customers, as well as to
maintain operating ability and to produce competitive steel
products, the management of DUNAFERR Co. Ltd. undertakes:
- to operate the processes of production, as well as related
and distributed services in a quality management system according
to a new standard (MSZ EN ISO 9001:2001);
- to meet the special demands and quality requirements of customers
quickly and effectively by processing incoming information
and decreasing the risks causing deficiencies;
- to take responsibility for the quality of products and services,
- to continuously improve the satisfaction of interested parties
outside and inside on the basis of the feedback of research
made;
- to manage the demands of customers in a flexible way, to
feedback experience from comments, complaints, investigations
into operation;
- to minimize costs beside the improvement of quality, constantly
improving inside operations and increasing process safety;
- to increase production safety, to decrease deficiencies,
to decrease the variation of the quality characteristics of
the product (strength, toughness, plasticity), to improve the
economical efficiency of production by continuously developing
the production plants and manufacturing processes;
- to implement and operate modern process control and supervisory
systems, as well as to improve the monitoring system of the
manufacturing process in the production of different products;
- to manage the total vertical process – from purchase to the
release of finished products – by quality control (ingoing,
before production, during production and final control);
- to increase the effective utilization of resources (production
plants, material, energy, manufacturing process, skill, information,
financial source), decreasing losses;
- to completely serve the technological processes by increasing
the quality level of inside services and at the same time decreasing
their costs;
- to determine the quality requirements for suppliers in acceptance
criteria, as well as to classify suppliers on the basis of
meeting these criteria;
- to process non-conformities by statistical methods and to
continuously decrease their reoccurrence;
- to implement the “zero error” strategy in practice by the
system of corrective and preventive activities;
- to continuously develop the quality conscious thinking of
the employees by education and training.
General aims in the field of environmental protection
In favour of the protection and improvement of the state
of the environment, the management of DUNAFERR Co. Ltd. undertakes:
- to operate the processes of production, as well as related
services in an environmental management system according to
the standard ISO 14001:2004;
- to pay special attention to meeting the environmental provision
requirements, standards and authority directions by a lawful
behaviour,
- to decrease environmental burden by modernizing the production
plants and developing production technologies
- to lay special emphasis on the usage of natural resources,
raw materials and energy with better and better efficiency;
- to decrease the quantity and hazardousness of wastes produced
during its activities beside their professional and legal treatment;
- to promote the utilization of wastes by establishing selective
collection systems;
- to recycle and utilize the evolving waste materials and energy
sources in the production processes;
- to decrease the quantity of hazardous wastes and the risk
of environmental pollution by purchasing more advanced materials,
- to check the changing of our environmental output by regularly
surveying the environmental effects of the processes and activities;
- to make the suppliers meet the environmental requirements
through purchase and service contracts;
- to continuously develop the environment conscious behaviour
of its employees by education and training and to intensify
their responsibility undertaken and taken for the protection
of the environment.
General aims in the field of safety and health at work
The management of DUNAFERR Co. Ltd. enables the active participation
in industrial safety processes, the acknowledgement of labour
safety strategic aims and the commitment to industrial safety
strategy for all of its employees.
In favour of this, the management of DUNAFERR undertakes:
- health and safety, guaranteeing the protection of the employees
is a strategic question for DUNAFERR Co. Ltd., also improving
the market position of the company with this,
- to operate a certified management system (MSZ 28001:2003)
in favour of the continuous development of health and safety
at work at DUNAFERR Co. Ltd.
- to inform, train and advise its employees in favour of their
own protection,
- to continuously increase the effectiveness of the industrial
safety organizations, develop the co-operation between industrial
safety organizations and other organizational units, increasing
the efficiency of DUNAFERR Co. Ltd. in the field of safety
at work,
- to increase the satisfaction of its employees and their loyalty
to DUNAFERR Co. Ltd. by developing industrial health care,
- to develop, as well as introduce new methods and technologies
amongst changing economic conditions in favour of increasing
the responsibility and co-operation of its employees, so that
the number of accidents caused by the negligence of the employees
continuously decrease,
- to utilize subregional industrial safety experience, to develop
the industrial safety culture of the environment and the suppliers,
- to increase the proportion of investments and developments
serving health and safety at work in the annual investment
plans.
