ACCESS BY TRUCKS

Dunaújváros can be found 60 km from Budapest on the bank of the Danube. Our town can be accessed on road No. 6 from the direction of Budapest or Pécs. Five junctions lead towards Dunaújváros from road No. 6. Trucks cannot go in the downtown of Dunaújváros, therefore we recommend to use three junctions for those coming by trucks. From the direction of Budapest the first can be found at MOL petrol station. This way we can go to the port. The second junction (roundabout at the junction from the direction of Székesfehérvár), as well as the third junction (before the junction to Nagyvenyim) lead to the downtown, therefore we do not recommend to use these routes by truck! The industrial area of Dunaújváros, DUNAFERR Company Group can be accessed from the direction of Budapest at the fourth and fifth junctions, from the direction of the railway station, as well as from the Paper Mill.
We draw the attention of those coming by trucks to the fact that utility vehicles cannot go through every gate. The Main Entrance at Vasmű tér only serves passenger traffic! Utility vehicles can go through Gates II, III, VII, IX and X (access from the direction of the junction at the Paper Mill), as well as Gate XII (access from the direction of the railway station). The nearest bridge can be found at Dunaföldvár.

Information on using the entrances

Entrance No. I:

Pedestrian and bicyclist entrance only.

Main entrance:

At the Main entrance building visitors of Dunaferr Zrt. have possibility to request a one-off entrance ticket and a visitor’s entrance card necessary for daily entrance at office hours.

VIP entrance:

Used by the employees working at the main office building of Dunaferr Zrt.

Entrance at Training Workshop:

No changes in traffic order.

Entrance No. II:

No changes in traffic order, but Entrance No. II has 24 hour service for entering traffic only.

Entrance No. III:

No personal entrance. No changes in traffic order, but Entrance No. III has 24 hour service for exit traffic only.

DLA entrance:

The entrance has 24 hour service for personal entrance only.

Haldex entrance:

The entrance is closed down. 

Entrance No. VII:

Closed down for personal and automobile traffic; the entrance is used for slag delivery, benzene transport and oversized vehicle traffic only. 

Entrance No. IX:

No changes in traffic order.

Entrance No. XII:

No changes in traffic order.

Entrance No. IX and XII has traffic in both directions through one load scale at each entrance. All trucks are measured on the load scales (independent of weight and cargo) at entering and exiting as well.

Entrance No. XIV:

Vehicles of ambulance, fire department and police have possibility to use the entrance in course of emergency or life-saving activities. The entrance used for enter/exit of pedestrians, bicyclists, respectively automobiles and mini vans (up to 3.5 t) with special entrance permit, not transporting any goods. The entrance is closed for any other type of traffic.
