Malév Rt. held an Extraordinary General Assembly on 11 February 2005, where the shareholders of Malév elected the Members of the Board of Directors, among them Péter Hónig, CEO of DUNAFERR Rt. too. Following the General Assembly the new Board of Directors of the national airways elected Péter Hónig to be the Chairman by unanimous vote. After the event Péter Hónig told: “It is known that the privatization of DUNAFERR has been one of the most successful ones in recent years, therefore I was asked to share my experiences with them for the privatization of Malév and help this work also officially as a Member, and now the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Naturally I agreed on this with the owners of DUNAFERR Rt., who support this appointment, which was approved by the General Assembly of DUNAFERR Rt. also officially on 3 February 2005. The integration of DUNAFERR into Donbass Group goes well, that is why I accepted this honourable request beside my positions as the CEO of DUNAFERR Rt. and the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of DUNAFERR Rt.”
