Shrinking Margin (9 June 2011)
The drastic slump experienced in 2008 in the steel industry was not followed by a growth of similar intensity. The industry is characterized by slow and uncertain, but expanding tendencies: short-term upswings are followed by similar regressions. The production level of ISD Dunaferr Zrt. approached the pre-crisis level, but did not reach it yet, because ISD Dunaferr Zrt. was in a very difficult situation in 2009-2010. Affected by the global crisis the European steel industrial prices dropped and the branch could not recover yet from this drastically worsening position. In the last couple of years ISD Dunaferr Zrt. showed loss, however the light at the end of the tunnel is winkling.
The journal called Napi Gazdaság (Leszák Tamás) published the interview with Valeriy Naumenko, the Chief Executive Officer of ISD Dunaferr Zrt., with the title "Shrinking Margin". Please, find the article in the paper issued on 9 June 2011.
